Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign
1. How much does Invisalign cost in Faridabad?
At our Invisalign centre in Faridabad, treatment generally ranges from ₹1,00,000 for simple cases to ₹3,50,000 for complex cases. The final cost depends on the severity of crowding or spacing, bite correction, treatment duration and the Invisalign plan required.
2. How is my exact Invisalign cost calculated?
Your teeth and bite must first be examined by an MDS orthodontist. Digital scans and other diagnostic records help determine the complexity of treatment, expected number of aligners, need for attachments or IPR and whether refinements may be required. A personalised cost estimate is provided after this assessment.
3. Is your clinic a registered Invisalign centre?
Yes. The Smile Surgeon Clinic is a registered Invisalign® Centre in Faridabad. Invisalign treatment is digitally planned and clinically supervised by an MDS orthodontist.
4. Is Invisalign suitable for every patient?
Invisalign can treat many cases involving crowding, gaps, rotated teeth and selected bite problems. However, it may not be the most appropriate option for every patient. Some complex conditions may respond better to braces or a combined treatment approach. Suitability can be confirmed only after an orthodontic assessment.
5. How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Minor corrections may take a few months, while moderate or complex cases can require approximately 12–24 months or longer. Treatment duration depends on the required tooth movements, aligner wear and how closely the teeth follow the digital plan.
6. How many hours should Invisalign aligners be worn?
Most patients are advised to wear their aligners for approximately 20–22 hours every day, removing them mainly for eating, drinking anything other than plain water, brushing and flossing. Insufficient wear can delay treatment and affect aligner fit.
7. Is Invisalign treatment painful?
Patients may experience mild pressure or temporary tenderness when beginning treatment or changing to a new aligner. This usually indicates that the aligner is applying force to move the teeth. Severe or persistent pain should be reported to the treating orthodontist.
8. Can I eat normally during Invisalign treatment?
Yes. Invisalign aligners are removable, so there are generally fewer food restrictions than with fixed braces. The aligners should be removed before eating and before drinking beverages other than plain water. Teeth should be cleaned before the aligners are reinserted.
9. Will Invisalign affect my speech?
A mild lisp may occur during the first few days as the tongue adapts to the aligners. Speech usually returns to normal with regular wear. Removing the aligners repeatedly to speak can slow adaptation and reduce daily wear time.
10. What are Invisalign attachments?
Attachments are small, tooth-coloured shapes bonded temporarily to selected teeth. They help the aligners grip the teeth and deliver more controlled movements. Their number and position depend on the individual treatment plan.
11. What is IPR, and is it always necessary?
Interproximal reduction, or IPR, involves carefully reducing a very small amount of enamel between selected teeth to create space for alignment. It is not required in every case and is performed only when indicated in the approved orthodontic plan.
12. How frequently will I need to visit the clinic?
Review intervals vary according to the treatment plan and clinical progress. Many patients are reviewed approximately every six to ten weeks, although some cases require more frequent assessment. Regular monitoring helps ensure that the aligners fit correctly and the teeth are moving as planned.
13. Are scans and X-rays necessary before Invisalign?
A 3D digital scan is used to create an accurate model of the teeth and prepare the aligner plan. Photographs and dental X-rays may also be required. A CBCT scan is recommended only when additional three-dimensional assessment of roots, impacted teeth, bone or jaw relationships is clinically necessary.
Our centre has in-house digital scanning and dental CBCT facilities, reducing the need to visit separate diagnostic centres.
14. What happens if my teeth do not move exactly as planned?
The orthodontist will assess the aligner fit and tooth movement. If necessary, a new digital scan may be taken and refinement aligners may be prescribed. Refinement availability and charges depend on the Invisalign plan selected and the agreed treatment package.
15. Is Invisalign better than Indian clear aligners?
Invisalign offers proprietary SmartTrack™ material, ClinCheck® treatment-planning software, specialised attachments and an extensive global treatment history. Some Indian aligner systems can still be appropriate and economical for selected cases. The better choice depends on treatment complexity, the planning system, orthodontist supervision and the patient’s budget.
16. Can teenagers receive Invisalign treatment?
Many teenagers can be treated with Invisalign, provided their dental development, orthodontic requirements and ability to follow the wear schedule are suitable. An orthodontic examination is required before recommending treatment.
17. Can adults of any age choose Invisalign?
There is no fixed upper age limit for Invisalign. Adults can be considered as long as their teeth and supporting gums and bone are sufficiently healthy. Existing gum disease, cavities or other dental problems may need treatment before aligners are started.
18. Can Invisalign close gaps or correct crowded teeth?
Yes, Invisalign can treat many cases of dental spacing and crowding. The predictability of correction depends on the amount of space, tooth position, root movement required and the patient’s compliance.
19. Can Invisalign correct an overbite, underbite or crossbite?
Selected overbite, underbite, open-bite and crossbite cases can be treated with Invisalign. More complex jaw-related discrepancies may require braces, growth modification, additional appliances or jaw surgery. The correct approach depends on the diagnosis.
20. Will I need retainers after Invisalign?
Yes. Teeth can gradually move after any orthodontic treatment. Retainers are normally required after Invisalign to help maintain the corrected tooth positions. The type of retainer and recommended wear schedule will be explained near the completion of treatment.
21. What happens if I lose an Invisalign aligner?
Contact the clinic rather than independently moving to another aligner. Depending on your progress, the orthodontist may advise wearing the previous aligner, proceeding to the next one or ordering a replacement.
22. Why choose The Smile Surgeon Clinic for Invisalign in Faridabad?
Our registered Invisalign® Centre provides MDS orthodontist-led treatment, 3Shape TRIOS 3 digital scanning, in-house dental CBCT and multidisciplinary specialist care at one location. This helps reduce separate diagnostic visits, repeated outside consultations and unexpected coordination expenses.
